The Jump Rope Academy would like to congratulate the great work and outstanding performances by the International Jump Rope Team 'Get Tricky' at the London 2012 Olympics!
They went down a storm, entertaining crowds while acting as ambassadors for the sport we love. A special congratulations goes out to those representing the UK, Sue Dale from the BRSA and the team from Jump Rope UK!! You are a shining example to us all as to what can be acheived through hard work and dedecation. YOU GUYS ROCKED!!
You have truly inspired a generation. Like & share if you agree!
Here's what they had to say...
"After successfully completing 30 shows in 16 days at the Olympic Games, we would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support throughout this incredible journey. We have all been honored to officially represent the global rope skipping/jump rope community here at the Games for the first time.
Despite differences in jumping styles, cultures and backgrounds, our international group was able to work together to produce a demonstration that left crowds, the media and even members of the IOC asking questions and wanting to see more. We have come away with a renewed and genuine belief that rope skipping can and will become an Olympic sport in the near future.
Having grown up inspired by the jumpers and coaches who came before us, we now challenge the next generation to elevate the sport to even greater heights.
Farewell from Get Tricky – London 2012"

As of August 2012 Jumping Jacks Skipping Club will become the Motherwell Jump Rope Academy in a move that aims to give the club the urban proffessional image they have earned through hard work and dedication in the local community.
JJSC began in 2006 as a small Active Schools project on a tight budget.
